Broadmoor Hospital Safety Net Systems

We were delighted to be awarded the contract to supply Safety Net Systems for Broadmoor Hospital. Broadmoor Hospital is the UK’s most secure psychiatric hospital. The Safety Net Systems we installed provided collective fall protection for Mac Roofing’s operatives whilst they were installing the roof cladding. The project is a new build steel portal frame building. When complete the hospital will provide a therapeutic environment which will encourage and support patients recovery journey. Our client, Mac Roofing Ltd required the supply and installation of a safety net system to provide a collective fall protection system for its operatives, whilst installing roof cladding at Broadmoor Hospital. The netting was installed by our FASET trained Safety Net Riggers.

Broadmoor Hospital is a high-security psychiatric hospital in Crowthorne, Berkshire. The wider project involved the construction of a new steel portal frame building to provide a therapeutic environment to encourage and support a patients recovery journey.

OUR SAFETY NETTING SOLUTION

Type S Class A2 Q100 safety nets were used for this installation. The safety netting was secured to the steel using nylon rope with a 30kN breaking strain. This ensured the safety and security of Mac Roofing’s operatives whilst they worked above the safety net system.
